Graduate of physics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (MA diploma paper on “Paramagnetic resonance study in alcohols” – 1964. In 1979, he defended his doctoral thesis entitled: “A new method of testing the smoke production of outfitting materials” at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Shipbuilding of University of Technology of Szczecin. In 2004, he obtained the degree of doctor of technical science in the scope of construction and operation of machines at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering in of Technical University of Warsaw. The degree was conferred on the basis of evaluation of scientific achievements and the dissertation entitled: “Slowing down the process of thermal decomposition and combustion of materials as a crucial condition for the fire safety of technical constructions”. From 2005 to 2009 acted as associate professor at Polytechnic of Szczecin and from 2009 at West Pomeranian University of Technology Szczecin.
On his initiative and under his leadership in 1999 was formed the Research Laboratory of Materials Fire Properties at the Faculty of Maritime Technology of Szczecin Polytechnic. The laboratory was given accreditation in 2000 and Mr. Sychta was its head from 2000 until his retirement in 2011.
Mr. Sychta is the author of 3 monographs, 81 publications and 90 scientific descriptions and expertise on fire safety engineering of technical constructions including objects for underwater works at great depths.  

Graduate of Polytechnic of Szczecin (specialty-construction and operation of machines).  After studies, in 1990, he started working at the Polytechnic of Szczecin at the Department of Technical Ship Security. Research interests: methods and machinery for testing the reaction to fire of materials/products and the factors influencing the measurement results. The result of these works was the PhD. Thesis defended in 2006, entitled: ” Comparative analysis of studies on heat release intensity of naval materials and the method of improvement of accuracy of measurement”.  The thesis was defended at the Faculty of Maritime Technology of Szczecin Polytechnic.  The method of dynamic error correction developed by Mr. Sychta can be easily applied in integrated measurement and control systems, making only small changes in measurement programs. He also developed an experimental method of validation. He is also a constructor and producer of the unique apparatus for reaction to fire tests of materials/products for the own use and for the other research centers. He is responsible for servicing the gear. He is the author of 10 publications on fire safety engineering of technical constructions. Mr. Sychta quit job at the university in 2013 and decided to take up his private business activity.  

Graduate of Polytechnic of Szczecin (specialty-construction and operation of machines).  Longtime employee of computer company “Hart Komputery”. He possesses a substantive preparation of the construction and operation of technical equipment, integrated computer and measurement systems. He also possesses the knowledge on programming the processes of operating of these systems in the convention of research procedures.
